Erving’s roots are in manufacturing and sections of the town retain a rural character. The commercial area is spread out along the Route 2 corridor as it meanders through the town, adjacent to the Millers River. Although Erving’s commercial area is limited, it boasts some of the area’s finest restaurants and is home to the community’s premier bowling center.
