ArcLessons Help
Search Tips
You can find lessons that match your needs using the Search tools to show you only the lessons that address a certain topic
(e.g. Social Studies), or only those that use a specific software package (e.g., ArcView Spatial Analyst).
You can search by title, topic, software used, level of GIS expertise, geographic scale, keyword, or any
combination of these criteria.
Two quick searches (By Topic, By Software) are available on the ArcLessons home page. To use these, simply choose a topic
(or software package) from the drop-list.
A complete search tool is available by clicking 'More Options." You can select multiple search criteria using this
tool (e.g., Topic=Earth Science, GIS Level=Beginner, Software Needed=ArcView); this will find lessons that meet ALL
the selected criteria. If your search does not return any results, you might want simplify your search
(e.g., Topic=Earth Science, Software Needed=ArcView). The Keyword search can be very helpful for finding lessons on
a particular issue (e.g., earthquakes, census, climate, etc.)
